The Singing York Family was started in 1965. The group was formed by Earl and Violet York. The family has traveled off and on throughout the years. As time went by the kids took their place in the group. In 1988, we started devoting more time to our ministry. For the last 20 years we feel the Lord has really blessed. The group that you see today still keeps the same family harmony that dad and mom started with in 1965.
In late 2005, the patriarch of the group, our father, Earl York had to retire from the ministry. The doctors diagnosed him with a severe lung disorder. The group took some time off to be with dad. On December 4, 2006, the Lord called him home. Dad got to see what he had been singing about for more than forty years.
It has been a trial to get back to singing, but with the help of the Lord we are going to make it. We feel this is our call from God, and we will carry on the family name. The group consists of Sandy York, Tina York, Tim York, A.J. York, and Austin York.
